The M.U.M. Science Club is working towards doing integral based experiments. The integral system is based upon a four quadrants systems which consists of four categories: interior individual, exterior individual, interior collective and exterior collective. This allows researchers to evaluate data with a more holistic view of reality. Compare this to the current scientific paradigm: all natural phenomena can be observed and measured by objective means. This leads to a fragmented world view where one believes that everything that exists can be measured and observed objectively. Therefore, the subjective side of reality is not understood.
The Spiral Dynamics model gives a holistic (psychological, social, biological, spiritual) view of human development.
The Integral model and the Spiral Dynamics model combine to become the Spiral Dynamics Integral model (SDI). This allows for natural phenomenon to be explained in terms of the experiencer’s interpretation which is based on their level of development. In other words, this takes into account the observer and not just the observed during an experiment. As we have learned from quantum mechanics this becomes critical at very small values of space-time thus has vast implications for contemporary models of how humans experience reality and the technologies they develop.
